1200 families treated free of cost in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, Nov 1 (UNB) - A total of 1200 poor farmers' families at Bohoria village in Sadar Upazila were provided free medical treatment Saturday at a medical camp on the Bohoria Bazaar Government Primary School premises.
Sources said a medical team of Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital gave treatment to those poor families from morning to afternoon free of cost. Along with this medical camp, Hridoye Mati O Manush of Channel-I also involved itself.
The medical team comprising Dr Junaid Shafique, Chairman of Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital, Laparoscopy Surgeon Dr Sarder A Nayeem, Dr SM Shahidullah, (Director), Dr AF Mohiuddin Khan (Surgeon) and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical Hospital's Child Specialist Dr Baki Billah provided treatment to these farmers' families who came here from remote areas.
The medical team also provided necessary medicines to the patients suffering from ENT troubles, feminine diseases, heart diseases, stomach diseases and other serious ailments.
Among them, 250 children were also given treatment along with medicines. It was jointly organised by Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital and Channel-I.

Woman's body recovered
Bogra, Nov 1 (UNB): The police recovered the body of a woman from a paddy field of Koichar village in Sadar Upazila Sunday.The identity of the woman, aged about (40), could not be known immediately.Locals found the naked body in the field and informed police at about 10am.
