123 sacks of urea seized in Sirajganj, two arrested

SIRAJGANJ, Oct 5 (UNB): Some 123 sacks of urea fertilizer were seized from a trawler at Khaspukuria in Chowhali Upazila Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the trawler anchored at Khaspukuria Ghat at around 4:30pm and seized the huge fertilizer.
Two people - Rezaul (29) and Sohel (35) of Nagarpur village in Nagarpur Upazila of Tangail district-were arrested in this connection.
The arrested were learned to have confessed to the police that they collected the agri-input from a fertilizer dealer of the area to sell it in Tangail at a higher price.
A case was filed.
