1,280 Yaba tablets recovered in city: 3 held

The law enforcers recovered 1,280 pieces of Yaba tablets in Dakkhinkhan area in the city on Saturday. Three people were arrested in connection with the contraband drug trading. RAB-1 identified the detainees as Omar Faruk Sheikh, 32, Jahangir Alam Prodhan, 26, and Rakesh Mukherjee, 20. Being tipped off, a drive was conducted in Dakkhinkhan area around 1:30am and the three alleged drug peddlers were caught red handed. The law enforcers also recovered more than Tk 278,000 from their possession. They received the money from the Yaba trading, police said, according to a news agency.
