13 members of doping gang held in city

The Detective Branch (DB) of police in separate drives arrested 13 members of a doping gang (locally known as Agyan party) from different parts of Dhaka city on Monday night ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. Police said that the Agyan party men have already become active in the capital ahead of the Holy Eid-ul-Azha. A total of 384 people already have been victimised by the party and admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the last 29 days till September 29. Two, out of the victims, died in last week, said the police. A press conference in this connection is expected to be held at the media centre of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Tuesday, according to a news agency.
