13 rescued from traffickers

KURIGRAM, Sept 27(UNB): Bangladesh Rifles in a drive rescued 13 Bangladeshi nationals, including five women, while being trafficked to India and arrested two human traffickers at Airmarir Char near Jatrapur border Saturday.
The arrested were identified as Indian national Billal Hossain (30) and Hasina (45), of Fulbari Upazila of the district.
Acting on secret information, a patrol team of the border guards rescued the 13 people while they were being taken to India by a boat in the morning.
They were identified as Maidul Huq (25), M Shahidul (27), Joynal Abedin (30), Shakil (6), Nazmul Hossain (2), Mosharraf Hossain (8), Mozaffar (3), Hira Miah (22), Laizu Begum (20), Mariam Begum (21), Sabina (18), Rowshan Aktar (16) and Rozina Aktar (9).
They hailed from different villages of Fulbari Upazila of the district.
