13 rescued while being trafficked to India

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel on Friday rescued 13 people, including nine women and two children, while they were being trafficked to India through Putkhali border at Benapole union at Sarsa Upazila in Jessore district. Being tipped off, a team of BGB-23 battalion raided Charermath village at Putkhali and rescued the 13 and handed them over to Benapole Port Police Station, said BGB-23 Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Mostafizur Rahman. All of the rescued hail from different parts of Narail and Gopalganj districts, according to UNB.
