13 shops burnt down in Daudkandi

At least 13 shops were gutted by a fire that broke out in Municipality Market area of Daudkandi upazila in Comilla district early Tuesday.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric shot circuit at a shop in the market at about 4:00am and soon engulfed 12 other adjoining shops, according to a news agency.
On information, one firefighting unit from the upazila headquarters rushed in and doused the blaze after one hour of frantic efforts with the help of locals.
