13 war crime suspects sued in Natore

NATORE, Apr 30 (UNB): A case was filed Thursday against 13 people, including two Pakistani expatriates, for their involvement with mass killing, rape, loot and arson in the district during the Liberation War in 1971.
Freedom fighter Sheikh Alauddin filed the case with the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Sharifuddin.
Hafez Abdur Rahman and Shamsu Bihari, who are among the accused, are living in Pakistan at present.
The other accused are: Moksed Ali, Zaman Shikder, Mukta Shikder, Sazzad Hossain, Abdul Kader, Abul Hossain, Mansur Rahman, Abul Hossain Sheikh, Janu, Montu and Akkas Ali.
The accused including Moksed Ali, Janu, Montu and Akkas Ali have died after the Liberation War.
According to the complaint, the accused were involved with the mass killing at different parts of the district from April 4 to December 16 in 1971.
