134 sacks of fertiliser seized in Satkhira

SATKHIRA, July 7 (UNB): Police seized 134 sacks of fertiliser from the house of a retired schoolteacher at Kumarnal village in Kolaroa Upazila Friday.
On secret information, police raided the house of Atiar Rahman, retired teacher of a government primary school, and seized the fertiliser. But none was arrested in this connection.
Officer in-charge of Kolaroa thana Farid Ahmed said Atiar Rahman hoarded the fertiliser at his house and he was distributing one sack of fertiliser in exchange of one sack of paddy among the farmers.
A case was filed.
