136 accused held in Sylhet

Police in separate drives arrested 136 people accused in different cases from different areas of Sylhet city and four districts of Sylhet division on Monday night and Tuesday. Makbul Hossain Bhuiyan, deputy inspector general of police (DIGP), Sylhet, said police conducted drives from Monday night till to Tuesday and rounded up 43 people from Sylhet district, 19 from Moulvibazar district, 33 from Habiganj district and 20 from Sunamganj district. On the other hand, in separate drives they picked up 21 people from different areas of Sylhet city at the same time, said Mohammad Barkatullah, additional deputy police commissioner of SMP, according to UNB.
