14, including 7 Jamaat-Shibir, men held

Police in separate drives arrested 14 persons including 7 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir in Satkhira and Barisal districts on Sunday. In Satkhira, police conducted raids in different areas of the district in the morning and arrested Jamaat-Shibir activists Milon Hossain, Md Hasanuzzaman, Md Rafiqul Islam, Abdullah and Faruq Hossain. In Barisal, a team from Mahendiganj Police Station arrested two Jamaat-Shibir men from a Kachari house in Kharatar area. The arrestees were identified as Maulana Shahidul Alam and Mujahidur Rahman, according to a news agency.
