14-party leaders visit flood-hit dists from Saturday

Leaders of the Awami League-led 14-party alliance will visit three flood-affected northern districts – Kurigram, Gaibandha and Bogra – from Saturday. During the visits, the ruling alliance leaders will exchange views with the local people to know about their actual scenario, and provide assistance to the flood victims, said a press release on Friday. AL organising secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, will lead the 14-party delegation during the visit. The other delegation members include Jasod leader Nazmul Haque Prodhan, MP, and Workers Party leader Aminul Islam Golap. Spokesman of the 14-party combine and Health Minister Mohammad Nasim urged all the alliance leaders and activists of the three districts to assist the relief distribution and stand beside the flood victims, according to a news agency.
