15 detained for cheating in \\\'Gha\\\' unit entry test

At least 15 candidates appearing in Dhaka University (DU)'s Gha unit admission tests for the 2014-2015 academic session were detained on Friday for allegedly adopting unfair means. As many as 105,516 aspirants sat for the tests in the morning, contending for 1,416 seats. DU acting Proctor Amzad Hossain said 15 examinees had been detained for cheating with the help of various gadgets. Those detained from centres outside the DU campus were being brought to the university for questioning. Hossain said the university will take steps against the ‘cheats’. Earlier, about 25 candidates were detained on similar charges during admission tests to the DU’s Ka, Kha and Ga units for the new session, according to a news agency.
