15 hurt in Ctg EPZ stampede

CHITTAGONG, Mar 12: At least 15 garment workers were injured in a stampede as hundreds of workers, panicked over a fire, tried to rush out of the factory in Chittagong Export Processing Zone Thursday. Fire Brigade sources said the fire originating from a cigarette butt broke out in a godown of Northpool BD Ltd garment factory at about 3:30 pm. Four seriously injured women workers were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
