15 injured as nor’wester lashes Mongla UZ

At least 15 people were injured as a nor’wester lashed six union parishads and municipal areas in Mongla upazila of Bagerhat on Saturday afternoon. Most of the people were injured as fishing boats on the Pashur River in the area capsized, according to witnesses. Deputy Commissioner of the district M Shukkur Ali told UNB that the storm damaged over 300 dwelling houses, sank about 50 boats and uprooted a good number of trees in the vicinity of the river.
