15-man nat'l squad for T/20 WC announced

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Thursday announced a 15-member national cricket team for the Twenty/20 World Cup in South Africa with three new faces.
The new faces are opening batsman Junaid Imroz Siddiqui, top order batsman Mohammad Nazimuddin and pacer Ziaur Rahman, reports UNB.
Chief Selector Faruque Ahmed announced the squad at a press briefing soon after the BCB ad-hoc executive committee meeting at the Board's Navana Tower office at Gulshan in the city Thursday evening.
Chairman of the BCB media and communications committee and executive committee member Ahmed Sajjadul Alam Bobby was present at the briefing.
All the 11 executive members of BCB ad-hoc committee were present in the meeting, chaired by its President Sina Ibn Jamali.
The 20 over-a-side World Cup Cricket begins in South Africa on September 11 with the hosts taking on West Indies in the inaugural match at Johannesburg.
Bangladesh team will fly for Sylhet this (Friday) morning to join an intensive training camp at the warfare wing of the Bangladesh Army's School of Infantry and Tactics (SI&T). The camp begins August 11 at the Jalalabad Cantonment.
Bangladesh squad: Mohammad Ashraful (captain), Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (vice-captain), Aftab Ahmed Chowdhury, Tamim Iqbal, Forhad Reza, Mushfiqur Rahim, Syed Rasel, Sakib Al Hasan, Alok Kapali, Mahmudullah Riyad, Abdur Razzak Raj, Nadif Chowdhury, Junaid Imroz Siddiqui, Mohammad Nazimuddin and Ziaur Rahman.
Officials: Team Operations Manager Tanjib Ahsan Saad, Head Coach Shaun Williams, Bowling Coach Sarwar Imran, Fielding Coach Mohammad Salahuddin, Fitness Coach Paul Chapman, Physio Ajmal Hossain Mitu, Computer Analyst Nasir Ahmed.
