15-yr validity for CNG-run 3-wheelers

The government has extended the validity of CNG auto-rickshaws to 15 years from 11, with conditions, following a recommendation of BUET. Roads and Highways Division has issued a circular to this end following a strike by auto-rickshaw owners to extend the economy lives of the vehicles. The division put 6 conditions on extending the life of the rental three-wheelers, including a complete engine overhaul, within this year, according to bdnews24.com.
