150 shops gutted in Barguna

BARGUNA, May 26 (BSS): At least 15 persons were injured and 150 shops gutted in a fire at Barguna Super Market last night.
The fire broke out at 10pm from an electric short circuit at a shop of the market which engulfed the other shops quickly.
"At least 150 shops of the market including a Chinese restaurant, grocery stores, mobile phone shops, readymade garment stores and stationery shops have been burnt by the fire," Barguna Poura Mayor Mohammad Shahadat Hossain told the news agency.
Three fire service units of Barguna town doused the fire after frantic efforts of more than three hours with the help of shop owners and locals. Fifteen persons, including a fire service man, were injured during the fire.
