1500-metre current net seized

A mobile court has seized 1,500 metres of illegal fishing net in Surma River in Tuker Bazar area of Sunamganj district. The mobile court, led by magistrate Mohammad Jubair Ahmed, conducted a daylong drive in Surma River along Tuker Bazar area and recovered 1,500-metre-long current nets. Besides, the court seized 300 metres of illegal nets during the drive. Later, the seized current nets were burnt near Mallipur Fisheries Office, according to a news agency.
