160 households get electricity in Puthia

RAJSHAHI, July 27: Around 160 households of Chakdurlavpur village under Puthia upazila in Rajshahi have come under the electricity coverage as part of the government's attempts to supply electricity to every household by 2021.
Abdul Wadud Dara, lawmaker of Rajshahi-5 (Puthia-Durgapur) constituency and also the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Food Ministry, attending as the chief guest inaugurated the new electricity service at a function recently.
The inaugural ceremony held at Chakdurlavpur Government Primary School premises was attended, among others, by former joint secretary of Rajshahi district Awami League- Principal Monirul Islam Tazul as special guest, general secretary of Puthia upazila unit AL Abdul Malek, Vallukgachi union unit president freedom fighter Wazed Ali Shah, general secretary Shahjahan Ali Molla, and Deputy General Manager (DGM) Mujibul Haque of Puthia zone of Natore Palli Budyut Samity, with Peer Abdul Khalek in the chair.
Meanwhile, residents of the village were very happy with the new power connectivity as it helped lower sufferings they went through for a long time. ritushar.ru@gmail.com
