16.2kg gold seized at Shahjalal Airport

Customs Intelligence officials discovered a big gold haul at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport in Dhaka on Friday night. Customs sources said they seized a large numbers of gold bars, weighing around 16.2 kilogram (kg), from a lavatory near the passenger lounge of the airport. Being tipped off, a team of the Customs Intelligence officials found the gold bars in an abandoned condition in a toilet of the Arrival Immigration Hall around 10:30pm. None was arrested in this connection, according to a news agency.
