16th amendment protects dignity of judges

Prime Minister and Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina on Thursday said that her government has protected the dignity of the judges of the Supreme Court and sanctity of the judiciary through the 16th amendment to the constitution. "The judiciary is independent and it is well-protected -- we have ensured it through the 16th amendment. Many (people) say many words. But they do never think about the reality," she said delivering her valedictory speech in the third session of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad  on Thursday night, according to a news agency.
