16th Diabetes and Endocrine Confce held in city

The three-day 16th Diabetes and Endocrine Conference-2010 concluded in the city Saturday, said a press release.
The joint enterprise of Diabetic Association of Bangladesh and Endocrine Society in Bangladesh Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) Dr Captain (rtd) Mozibur Rahman Fokir, minister of state for Health and Family Welfare, formally inaugurated the conference on December 9.
Prof AK Azad Khan, chairman of Bangladesh Diabetic Association and chairman of arrangement committee, presided over the inaugural session while Prof Dr Mohmud Hasan, president of Bangladesh Medical Association and chairman of Bangladesh Medical Research Council, was the especial guest.
Secretary of Bangladesh Medical Association Prof Sorfuddin, Secretary of Bangladesh Diabetic Association Md Saifuddin, Secretary of Endocrine Society and Director of BIHS Prof Liakot Ali were also present on the occasion.
Specialist doctors from the UK, the USA, South Korea, India and Pakistan were present in the conference.
