17 Argentinian hooligans to be deported

JOHANNESBURG, June 16 (AFP): South Africa will deport 17 Argentinian hooligans after a raid Wednesday on the premises where they were staying in the capital Pretoria, police said.
"During the raid, 17 of the 165 fans present were identified as being persons whom the police consider to be undesirable as spectators at matches," the national police said in a statement. "The group of 17 was handed over to the National Immigration Branch of the Department of Home Affairs which will deal with their deportation," it added.
Eleven Argentinians have already been deported for being known instigators of football violence.
