17 Bangladeshis injured by BSF in Rajshahi border

RAJSHAHI, Mar 11 (UNB): At least 17 Bangladeshis were injured in an attack by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Khanpur border in Poba Upazila early Friday.
Local sources said Bangladeshi cattle traders along with cattle were returning home crossing the border when BSF jawans chased them at about 2:30am.
The Indian border guards managed to catch 17 Bangladeshis and beat them mercilessly, leaving them injured.
The Bangladeshis later managed to come to Bangladesh land and were admitted to different hospitals.
One of the injured Abdul Kader (24), was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
All the victims were residents of Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj.
Meanwhile, Ershad Ali, president of Char Taranagor primary school, said that he heard about the death of two Bangladeshis, who were run over by a vehicle of BSF.
