17 injured in Sirajganj clash

At least 17 people including were injured in a clash between two rival groups over land at Kumajpur village in Salanga Upazila in Sirajganj district on Sunday. Quoting locals, police said Sohrab and Siddik of the village had been at loggerheads over a land-related dispute. As a sequel to the enmity, an altercation ensued between the supporters of the two groups when Sohrab claimed the ownership of the disputed land. Both groups attacked each others with sharp weapons, leaving 17 injured. The injured were rushed to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital and other local clinics, according to a news agency.
