17 Jamaat men arrested in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Mar 13 (BSS): Police in separate drives arrested 17 activists of Jammat-e-Islami from different area of Sitakunda, Satkhania and Lohagara Upazila last night.
Acting on secret information, Sitakunda thana police in separate drives from 8.00 pm to 6.00 am last night arrested 14 Jammat-Shibir men from different areas of Sitakunda Upazila, Rehena Akter, Sub-inspector (SI) of Sitakunda thana said.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lohagara thana Mohammad Shahjahan said based on secret information, a team of Lohagara thana police arrested two Jammat activists from different areas of Lohagara thana last night.
On the other hand, Satkhania thana police arrested a Jammat activist Ziaur Rahman from Sonakania area under the upazila last night.
