1,755 held in countrywide drive

Police arrested 1,755 people on various charges in separate drives across the country in 24 hours until 6:00 am Wednesday, reports UNB.
Seven firearms, two bombs and 18 rounds of bullet were also seized during the drive, said a press release of police headquarters.
Four cases were filed in this connection. Besides, 26 motorcycles were seized during the drive for not having valid documents. Some 315 cases were filed and a man was arrested in this connection.
