17th AGM of GP held

The 17th annual general meeting (AGM) of Grameenphone Ltd was held on Wednesday at the city’s Basundhara Convention Center. Chairman of Grameenphone Board Sigve Brekke and CEO Vivek Sood were present on the occasion along with the other board members and senior officials. GP has paid 90 per cent interim dividend (cash) during 2013. The board of directors also recommended 50 per cent final dividend (cash) making a total dividend of 140 per cent of the paid-up capital (i.e. BDT 14 per share) for the year 2013. The shareholders approved the total dividend for the year 2013. It was the 5th AGM of the company after it becomes a listed company in 2009, according to a news agency.
