18 cattle traders fall sick in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Oct 2: A total of 18 cattle traders have fallen sick on Wednesday night allegedly getting into the grips of the Oggyan Party in the city's Patenga area.
Patenga police said the cattle traders went to sell sacrificial animals at Kargarh in Patenga. They ate eggs from a shop there last night and fell sick. The local people took them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital around 12:15am.
Sub-inspector of the police station Quamrul said it was not clear whether they had fallen under grip of the Oggyan Party or fell sick of food poisoning.
The victims are Mafizul (40), A Khaleq (30), Sirajul Islam (37), Sobhan (42), Quaiyum (34), Zahidul (50), Sirajul (22), Zahirul (44), Hafiz (32), Shahid (35), Rejaul (45), Asad (64), Babar Ali (62), Ziaul (60), Islam (28), Raju (32), Kabir Ahmed (30) and Azim (22).
They are all from Rajshahi area, the police said.
