18 dope party men held in city

Detectives in three separate raids arrested 18 members of agyan (dope) party men from the city's Kalabagan, Paltan and Jatrabari areas of the capital Saturday.
DB personnel also seized 43 yaba tablets, 14 seductive tablets, five money bags, six blades, 100 seductive Ativan tablets, 10 Milam tablets, 40 Noktin tablets, a stolen CNG-run-auto rickshaw and four mobile phone sets from their possessions, said a DB official told a news agency.
The arrestees are: Abul Basher Molla, Mainul Islam, Iqbal Hossain, Nasima, Mrs Makul, Niamul Sharif Ahmed, Al Amin, Kabir Akan, Kalu Mia, Mo Saddam, Alamgir Hossain, Alam alias Shah Alam, Hafiz Mia alias Tuku, Billal Bepari, Md Suman, Md Sohel, Md Saiful and Md Rakib. One victim was also rescued from their clutches, he also said.
During primary interrogation, they confessed their link to the dope gang for four to five years.
Separate cases were lodged to this end.
