18 rajakar suspects sued in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, June 1 (UNB): Eighteen alleged Rajakars (collaborators) were sued on Sunday for looting and arson at a house in Morelganj Upazila Sadar during the War of Liberation in 1971.
Freedom Fighter and Awami League president, union unit, Sohrab Hossain filed the case with the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court against 18 people, including 12 unknown people.
The names mentioned in the complaint are: Abdus Salam, (55), Amir Ali, (56), Mohammad Ali, (52), Alim Khan, (58), Firoz Khan, (59), and Faruq Hossain.
All of them hailed from different villages in Morelganj Upazila.
In his case, the plaintiff alleged that the accused looted and set ablaze his house on July 5, 1971.
The court asked the officer-in-charge of Morelganj Thana to take legal action after necessary investigation.
