1st Indo-Bangla wrestling begins today

The 1st Indo-Bangla-Bangladesh Wrestling Competition (men's and women's), organised by Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation, begins Monday at the Outer Stadium kabaddi/volleyball ground in Dhaka.
Maj Gen ATM Amin, director general of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, will formally inaugurate the two-day meet as chief guest. Thirteen 13 wrestlers -- seven women and six men -- represent Kolkata, while the same number of wrestlers represent Bangladesh.
Mutual Trust Bank as sponsors will bear the entire budget of Tk 400,000 for the competition. Federation general secretary Adv Mahbubul Amin Jibon disclosed the details at a press conference held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room Sunday afternoon.
Federation joint secretary Ali Anwar was present.
