2 ACC DDs sent to forced retirement

FE Report | Monday, 12 May 2014

Two deputy directors (DDs) of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) have been sent into forced retirement.
They are Md Ahsan Ali of ACC combined Kushtia District office and Md Shafiqul Islam of Patuakhali District office.
The order was given in two separate circulars issued Sunday by senior assistant secretary Mohammad Kamrul Hasan.
The circulars said the ACC at a meeting held recently decided to send the two DDs to retirement as their service period crossed 25 years.  However, they will get all the retirement benefits.
ACC Chairman M Badiuzzaman told the reporters that the Commission had received the copies of gazette of the order.
Sources said the Commission took the decision to send the two DDs to retirement after getting various allegations against them including violation of ACC rules.
Earlier, the Commission took internal measures against them. Then, they were transferred to district offices from the head office.
