2 additional HC judges sworn-in as permanent judges

Two additional judges of the High Court (HC), who were made permanent judges on Monday, took oath on Wednesday. Justice Md Shahinur Islam and Justice Kashefa Hussain were sworn-in by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha in the morning as permanent judges. The ceremony, moderated by Supreme Court’s Registrar General Syed Aminul Islam, was attended by judges of the HC and the Appellate Division. Earlier, Shahinur Islam and Kashefa Hussain were made permanent. A circular issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs said on Monday that President Md Abdul Hamid confirmed their job after consulting Chief Justice SK Sinha. The circular said the change would be effective from the day of their swearing-in.
