2 alleged drug traders held with 993 bottles Phensidyl

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested two alleged drug peddlers in possession of 993 bottles of contraband phensidyl from Jamtala area in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila on Sunday. The arrested were identified as Bharat Kumar Chowdhury, 26, son of Shambhunath of Hujrapur area and Sangkar Mandol, 57, son of Tarani Mandol of Guripara area of the district town. RAB-5 commanding officer Major Kamruzzaman Pavel said on a tip-off, RAB members went to Jamtala in the guise of buyers to make a deal with the alleged drug peddlers and arrested the duo in possession of phensidyl bottles around 4:45 pm. The elite force also seized a motorcycle from the spot, according to UNB.
