2 arrested with 30 kg hemp in Moulvibazar

Police have arrested two suspected drug peddlers and recovered 30 kg hemp and a private car from their possessions at Moulvibazar Sadar upazila. The arrestees were identified as Basir Miah, 25, son of Hushiar Ali of Lamakazi village under Jalalabad Police Station and Abdul Momin, 23, son of Abdul Quader of Bhurki village of Biswanath upazila. Police said they, on suspicion, searched the private car at Sherpur Golchattar at Sherpur union and arrested the two along with the illegal drugs. The car driver, however, managed to escape, according to UNB.
