2 arrested with fake currencies in city

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive Friday arrested two members of a counterfeit money syndicate from the capital’s Adabar area and recovered huge amount of fake banknotes.
"Two forgers, along with fake currencies worth about Tk2.5075 million, were arrested with their instruments." RAB-1 Operation Officer ASP Muhit Kabir Serniabad told BSS.
The arrestees were identified as Md Hamidur Rahman, 30, and Mosammat Jamila Akhter Manija, 30.
The seized equipment included tracing papers, laptop, printer, chemicals, fake security ribbons, fake currencies and a motorcycle, the RAB official added.
A case was filed in this connection.
