Two Bangladeshi workers were killed after being caught in the line of fire during a 'shootout' in Libya on Friday. The deceased were identified as Abdul Kalam, hailed from Barguna district and Shafiqur Rahman, from Pirojpur district. The two Bangladesh nationals were travelling to Libya’s north-eastern city of Bengazi during the fatal incident. Family sources said both were working as cleaners for a company named Sharikat Kazi, situated in Bengazi, 1200 kilometers away from Libyan capital Tripoli. The duo got caught in the ‘gunfire’ when they were going to Bengazi in a taxicab and died on the spot, family and hospital sources said, according to a news agency.
