2 BCL leaders held over BAU killing

Two Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leaders have been detained for murder of a fellow BCL member in Mymensingh. Saad Ibne Mamtaz, a student of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), died of injuries sustained during clashes between two BCL factions on Tuesday. He was the organising secretary of the university’s Ashraful Haq Hall unit. Police detained Rokonuzzaman Rokon and Sujoy Kumar Sujoy, both final year students of fisheries department at BAU. Both were former organising secretaries of Ashraful Haq Hall unit. Kotwali police station OC Golam Sarowar said the two had been detained from Mymensingh’s Patgudam area on Wednesday night in connection with a case filed by the university over the killing, according to bdnews24.com.
