2 brothers electrocuted while saving child in Jessore

Two brothers have been electrocuted while trying to save a child in Jessore district. Monirampur Police Station OC Molla Khabir Ahmed said the incident occurred in a brick kiln at Dodaria around 7:30am on Sunday. Those killed were ‘Milon’, 32, and ‘Sumon’, 23, sons of Abdul Aziz. The OC said their relative and neighbour nine-year-old ‘Shimul’ got tangled in an electric wire that tripped and fell beside a pond in the brick kiln. Milon, Sumon and their relative ‘Fatema’, 32, went to save the child and were hit by electric shocks. Milon died on the spot while Sumon died at Jessore Sadar Hospital. Doctor Abdullah Al Mamun said Shimul was also in a critical condition, according to bdnews24.com.
