2 children drown in Munshiganj

Two children drowned in Padma River at Tongibari upazila in Munshiganj on Friday. The deceased were identified as Sadia, 8, daughter of Syed Banduksari, and Trishna, 10, daughter of Shyamol Das of Hasail village. Local people said the two minors drowned while taking bath in the river in the afternoon. After a frantic search, locals rescued them and rushed them to Tongibari Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared them dead. Abdul Malek, officer-in-charge of Tongibari Police Station, confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
