2 children saved from traffickers in Meherpur

MEHERPUR, Oct 19 (UNB): Two children were luckily saved from the clutches of child traffickers in Meherpur district on Tuesday.
Locals said Sohan, 7, son of Robiul Islam of Shishu Bagan Para and Rupali, 7, daughter of Adam Ali of Old Post Office Para in the town and students of local government primary school were playing with their classmates and friends besides the school during tiffin hour at about 1pm on the day.
At that time two alleged human traffickers took them to their microbus alluring them to give chocolates.
Taking them into the microbus, the traffickers pressed two pieces of cloth on their nose in a bid to make them senseless and left the place towards Chuadanga.
After the incident students and teachers informed the matter to police.
On their way to Chuadanga, seeing a government jeep, magistrate and police on the road, the traffickers fled away leaving the abducted children near an under construction bus terminal in the town.
The magistrate and police were conducting a mobile court.Later, the guardians took their children to their residences.
