2 college students stabbed in city

Two college students sustained stab injuries by some muggers at Dhanmondi in the city on Saturday night. The injured were identified as Mizan, 22, and Shawon, students of Dhanmondi Ideal College. Locals said a gang of muggers swopped on Mizan and Shawon and snatched their mobile phones from their possessions while they were walking beside the Dhanmondi lake around 4:30pm. The muggers also stabbed Mizan and Shawon with sharp weapons as they tried to resist the muggers, leaving the duo injured. The critically injured students were first admitted to Bangladesh Medical College Hospital and later shifted Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) as their condition deteriorated, according to UNB.
