2 commit suicide in city

A college student is among two people allegedly committed suicide in Dhaka city on Sunday night. The deceased were identified as Sharmin Akhtar, 25, wife of Monir Hossain, and Rabeya Akhter, 17, a first year student of Tejgaon College, hailed from Patuakhali district. Hospital sources and local people claimed Sharmin Akter, a resident of Dakhinkhan area, committed suicide in her residence following a conflict with her husband over family issues. The body was sent to a hospital for autopsy. On the other hand, Rabeya, a resident of Tejgaon, allegedly took insecticide when her parents rebuked for her irregularity in study. She was rushed to Mohakhali Metropolitan Hospital where doctors treated and sent her home. After arriving home she became ill again and died at Dhaka Medical Hospital (DMCH), according to private YV channels.
