2 Ctg jail guards suspended

Jail authorities in Chittagong on Wednesday suspended two jail guards of Chittagong Central Jail for negligence of duty following the suicide of a prisoner. The suspended guards are Ziabul Islam and M Alamgir. Besides, on the same charge, the authorities have also decided to take departmental action against two head guards of the jail -- Mohammad Hasan and Abdur Rashid. Jail super M Sagir Miah said action was taken against the four for dereliction of duty, according to a news agency.
