2 dead as truck hits bus in Kushtia

At least two people were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident in front of Battail Ansar Camp in Kushtia town on Friday night. Of the deceased, one was identified as Rabiul Islam, 25, son of Farid Hossain, a resident of Hatiya Charpara under Islami University thana. Abu Bakkar Siddique, additional superintendent of police, Kushtia, said a truck dashed a parked Dhaka-bound bus from behind on Kushtia-Jhenidah Highway around 10:30 pm, leaving the truck’s helper dead on the spot and eleven other people injured. The injured were rushed to Kushtia Medical College Hospital where Rabiul, a bus passenger, succumbed to his injuries, according to UNB.
