UNB adds from C'awabganj: Police in separate drives arrested two local leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami on charges of violence from Nachole and Shibganj upazilas Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Khalilur Rahman, ameer of Nachole upazila unit of Jamaat, and Sarwar, ameer of Kansat union unit Jamaat of Shibganj upazila.
Meanwhile, police of Shibganj Police Station conducting another drive in Kansat area arrested Sarwar at about 7:00 pm, officer-in-charge Asiqur Rahman said.
