2 devotees die at Ijtema

Two devotees have died on the Biswa Ijtema grounds on the bank of river Turag early Friday. They were Abdul Mojid, 65, of Sirajganj and Omar Ali, 48, son of Asar Ali of Keraniganj, said Uttara Zone SB Inspector Billal Hosain. They were rushed to the health complex where on duty doctors declared them dead early in the morning. The first phase of Biswa Ijtema began this morning with lakhs of Muslim devotees from home and abroad, according to a news agency.
