2 die after being hit by truck in Dhaka

A senior citizen and his grand daughter have died after being hit by a truck in Dhaka's Demra. The accident occurred around 11.30am on Tuesday. The victims have been identified as Kasir Khan, 99, and Tahmina Rahman Khuki, 34. The relatives of the victims rushed them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 12:30pm where doctors declared Khuki dead, DMCH's police outpost inspector Mozammel Haque said. Haque said Kasir Khan died moments after being admitted to the hospital. The truck hit the cycle rickshaw, knocking both of them out of it, said the police officer, quoting relatives, according to bdnews24.com
